The new Bass Anglers Guide is out this week

Post by Roger Saraiba »

I know money is tight and you have to be picky on where you spend it. Before you subsribe to any magazines out there look at Bass Angler Guide. Most tackle shops have them as well as Barnes and Noble. This is a great magazine that has all western articles. If you are looking for a magazine that has specific articles to how or where you fish this is the magazine for you.

If your talking soley about content BAG is a good magazine, but I had an issue that the stores got the magazine more than 2 weeks before I the subscriber got mine. After a couple emails and no hope of help on this issue, I asked to remove my subscription. And the BAG kept my Money, and I'd only recieved 2 issues.

So I'm not a happy camper......Bass West is a nice magazine and I still like In-fisherman.

I am shocked by this. The guy you want to talk to is Mark Lassagne. He owns it and is a stand up dude. I am sure he will post on this as soon as he can. I am also sure he will take care of any problems that you have had.

I agree, Mark Lassagne will straighten your problem out. I love the magazine, and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't got one yet.

Hi, and thanks for the nice comments.
Sorry it took so long to reply... I was out delivering the new issue to the stores "personally" to make sure they got them before the subscribers. :)

I put everything I have into creating a great magazine; a magazine that is not full of advertisements and has useful content to the western angler. I know we have a ways to go but we’re making progress with every issue.

About the stores getting it before the subscribers, I'm sorry. My wife and I personally labeled all the magazines and take them to the post office before any vendor orders are sent. Unlike other magazines the BAG is date sensitive. We are the only source for all the tournament dates and we wait until the last minute to gather this data and then go to press. Also unlike other magazines I let anglers know when the magazine comes out. Unfortunately, it takes the post office several weeks to deliver the magazines and during that time I send out and hand deliver magazines to my vendors.

I hope you all enjoy this latest issue,
Mark

New issue showed up yesterday.

As I've posted before on this site and others' the content of BAG is excellent. I'm still thumbing the Winter bass issue and While I've only scratched the surface this issues articles on drop shotting are great.

I still can't deal with going to a store and seeing the latest issue and then go home and stew for a couple weeks....

Next year Ill just buy off the newsstand.

Sorry to Mark or his friends if this seems hostile or unecesarily critical. I probably shouldn't have popped off.

Good News....apparently the post office is getting better. Maybe Martinez is just faster than LA. I mailed magazines Monday and several people reported getting them already.
