Won Bass will be running Pro-Am's next year.
I answered a Q&A the other day and did not know if the "rumors" were true. Won Bass will be back next year. They will be running regular events. Just passing info to help make things right.

Great news. I hope they come back bigger and better than ever.
I can't wait to see their schedule.

I think the point of Gary's post here was not meant to be that as a spokes person for WON, but in fact to further point out what was discussed in a Q&A thread of his on the front page of WB.TEAMDEADMONEY wrote:Details Gary...what are the details...i..e...lakes..North or South or both etc etc..

With the Tournament Permit Selection process coming soon, I'm sure we'll hear something down the road from WON on their direction and find all the details when confirmed, on their website.

Re: Won Bass will be running Pro-Am's next year.
Hello All,
I have been on vacation for the past 11 days, so I am getting caught up on things as I am back in the office this week. I realize that no one ever spreads rumors in the world of bass fishing, so I wanted to hop on the site and address three issues real quick. This is what you should know as fact:
1) Yes - Megan Fox is a Hottie
2) Yes - Joan Rivers has had a minor amount of plastic Surgery
3) Yes - WON BASS will be holding a Pro-Am season next year!
I really don't know where these rumors come from. WON BASS will be holding a Pro-Am season next year and I will be at the DFG Jamboree in Sacramento on July 10th drawing these permits along with every other tournament organization. We are planning 6 events in 2010 3 north and 3 south and a US Open. Dates for all of the above will of course be printed once the DFG permits are secured.
As far as the format for next year, that will remain to be seen based upon sponsorship levels. We may have boats at every event, we may have boats at a Western Classic type event, we may have no boats and fish for cash next season. Whatever the season shapes up to be will be dependant upon the input we receive from the members of our WON BASS advisory committee.
One thing is for sure however, we will have a game plan going into next season that will not be impacted as a result of changes in sponsorships.
Stay tuned as we will unveil more details on the 2010 season as they come out.

Yeah, have somewhere else where you can catch lotsa fish and still not place in the money....Girls
Re: Won Bass will be running Pro-Am's next year.
My vote would be for cash at each event with a championship. We have to have one to get that pot at the end of the rainbow.
We really need something to fish down south. Mead, Havasu, Roosy might be a great draw.
Lower the entry like a retro back to when it was $350 for a pro and $150 for the co-angler and give out cash at the regular events and a boat at the championship.
I would also like to see the US Open go back and forth between the North and the South. Time to try something new that the ANGLER'S WANT.
PS-I will be sending in my entry to the US Open in the near future!

Heard a "rumor" Megan Fox will be fishing Am in Won Bass in a bikini (a very skimpy one). This should help the Pro turn out. You know "rumors", has to be some truth here somewhere

Roosy is WAY to far..
Since we didnt get to do the schedule this year lets do it next year..
Havasu, DVL and Castaic.
OR Havasu (march) Pleasant (April) and DVL (May)..
It doesnt matter, I'll be donating at all of them anyway..

I am NEVER going to Lake un-Pleasant again. NEVER! And I've cashed checks there.
Roosy is what is hot right now and it also where the guys in that area want to fish.
I would fish DVL over Roosy.

Re: Won Bass will be running Pro-Am's next year.
Roosevelt is a good lake to fish any time of year and a great lake at certain times of the year. It's a lot like Shasta in the terms of numbers of fish caught and limits weighed, but they're almost all largemouth with just a few smallies and no spots. The lake reached nearly full pool this year for the first time since the new dam was built, so it will be in the new lake cycle for the next 4 or 5 years. There are still a lot of Arizona anglers that really don't want to cross the river that might be enticed by a Roosevelt tournament at the start of the season and that could result in the 180-200 boat fields of the past, especially if the entry fee is reasonable.
I'm happy to hear that Hutch is pulling it all together for WON Bass and I hope you'll consider the Arizona anglers when you put together the schedule.

Hutch...
I hope you consider the Southern California anglers when putting the schedule together.. The AZ anglers have always had to drive less then us.

Sounds promising..
I like Ricky's idea about low/reasonable entry. Got to use the right bait to get the anglers excited.
Speaking of excited, I read on the internet that Megan Fox is the new spokes model for WON Bass. If the TackleTour guys can have gratuitous bikini chicks, then why not WON.

The slot on Roosevelt is 13-16 inches. You can weigh one slot fish. If you want fish under 16 inches, you won't be cashing a check. I live 25 minutes from Lake Pleasant and drive right by it on my way to Roosevelt. I'd rather catch 50-60 fish a day trying to break 15lbs than hope for 5 bites to get 8.5lbs, but that's just me. Pleasant will not draw like Roosevelt.
My vote for a southern circuit would be Havasu, Roosevelt and Mead. The best lakes around that will support a 100+ boat field. As good as DVL is (when you can launch), it gets really small with more than 50 boats.
In the north, how could you go wrong with the Delta, Clear Lake and Shasta?
Whatever Hutch comes up with, I hope all of the anglers, north & south, CA & AZ, will support the WON Bass Pro-Am circuit.
