Shimano Rod Warranty

Hello,

I have a shimano V rod. Last week, I lent it to a non fisherman buddy not familiar with the culture of bass fishing. ( That's why I dislike bring people who don't respect my equipment). Instead of placing the rod next to him on the passanger rod holder, he laid it the tip down the front deck. I had the front rod locker open and the rod tip was inside the rod locker. Needless to say, when I closed the rod locker after ... it snapped the front tip. Is there are warranty on this, or am I out of luck?

The warranty covers against manufacturer defects and breaks under normal fishing conditions. This would not be considered a warranty issue. It sounds like your friend owes you a new rod. The V Rods are no longer available so the Crucial would be the replacement for the V Rod.
