You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Well Delta the guy that has paycheck baits name is Bub Tosh. Why don't ya give him a call and tell him instead of running his hook down on a public forum. None of us has seen the new hook so I was wondering how you know so much about it.

The packages I bought of the BMF hook didn't come with the keeper on it. I just used shrink wrap. Why should it be any different with the Paycheck Punch hook?

The original release of BMF Hooks didn't include it either.

It was another product you could purchase and install yourself, but not one included.

WHY DID YOU GUYS TELL HIM HOW TO MAKE THE BARB?!?!?!?

If he would spend less time complaining, and took 3 seconds to think about it......wel maybe he couldn't figure it out by himself, not in 3 seconds; not in 3 years

Delta is beast, here is a lesson for you:
Being a bass angler is about analyzing every aspect of your fishing, whether it be tackle, rods, boats, etc. and with all of that comes experience, ideas and innovation. No matter what you're doing there is always the question "How can I make this better?" and that is what continually drives me since I make, or at least customize almost all of my lures in some way, because when you do that, you create a confidence in that bait, because you have improved it, and with that confidence comes increased fishing success. I build all of my own rods and many of my own baits for one reason, because "I can do better"; in reality, maybe things aren't better in terms of quality or special features, but I believe that they are, and when I'm successful with my own rods or baits, I get a satisfaction unknown to many anglers.

So take some time to think about the problem/predicament and figure out a way to do it yourself, at the very least we will have less obnoxious complaints in this forum!

All the best,
Dan

And the rift between "experienced" bass fishermen" and the youths wanting to learn grows even wider yet again. Ripping on an obviously young person trying to learn is the easy way out. (since my 15 year old daughter just moved back to my household from her mothers, I have been in SHOCK) I don't think he was insulting the hook or even had any idea it was possible to make his own etc. In a way I think he was asking for help the same way he would ask for help from his friends.

Delta,
Heatshrink is available at most hardware stores. You cut it and shape it while it is still soft. Slide it to the area you want to place it on the hook, position it correctly and heat it up. When you do it will shrink down to about half the size. You can use a lighter for this but don't put it directly in the flame, hold the plastic over the top of it. You can also use a hot hair dryer if you figure out a way to keep everything in place. Experiment with different cut shapes and sizes of of heat shrink until you get the results you want. Almost everyone on this board is extrememly helpful but we are like the old english teacher... we want you to ask our way. A lot of folks are friends with the man making these hooks so insulting the hook is viewed in a bad light.

NoLuk if you go back and reread his original post there isn't a question mark in the thing. If he would have asked then there would be more than one guy on here help him. If he would have taken the three minutes it took to make his bs post and watched the You Tube clip in the interview that he was referencing then he would have seen how to do it.

Yes reading his posts make me think he is a young energetic angler and like all of us that were (a long time ago) young energetic anglers when he makes a post like that he is gonna get snapped back into line like the young lab puppy on his first hunting trip with all the old dogs.

I have sent him a private message and asked him if he was one of our younger anglers and what his name was and tried to explain a little to him with no response so that does make me wonder if he might have his own agenda. Hopefully he is just out fishing and will answer it in time or come up and introduce himself at the Pro Teen this weekend where all of us old guys will be to get these young anglers out on the water...can't wait it is a fun time.

Delta is Beast if you are one of the teens fishing come and say hi!

I really dont think it has anything to do with him being young. I would consider myself a younger, less experianced angler, but I also know how to conduct myself in a respectful manor. Ripping companys, people and products isn't something someone does because they are trying to learn, he is trying to push some buttons, make some people upset and cast a negative light to someone he probably doesn't know. If he wanted answers, there is another way he could go about it, but this isnt the first post I've seen with the disrespect used from him.

thank you noluk. you actually know what i was thinking. i wasnt ripping on the hook and saying it was garbage. i was saying that it wont have the thing on it and people started taking things personally and thinking its there own hook that they made. its not. so why are you taking it personally i dont know. where did i say the hook is garbage. i cant find it. people on here need to calm down and stop taking things personally.

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS LEARNED FROM THIS DISCUSSION AND IS NOW ON THEIR WAY TO BECOMING A BETTER PERSON :D :D :D

Delta is beast, seriously man, you certainly seem like you want to be an informed and knowledgable angler, but your attitude needs to change. Then again, maybe it's not an attitude, just bad forum etiquette, but if you got a question or a comment to share, just put it out there, none of this "this is bs!" or "those baits are junk!" cause all you're gonna get back is a tongue lashing from almost everyone here, because we don't need to hear it!

With that, keep the negative words to a minimum and take some time to learn what you can from the people on this forum. Many of them are renowned anglers that have decades of experience, and if you're willing to listen, you're going to become a better angler, trust me.

Delta. the problem is you began YOUR Post with "this is is bs" without doing your homework. Before you come down on a Vetrean Delta Angler and his company do your research before running it into the ground when you actually have no clue!
Young, old whatever, give a product its just dues before bashing it.

His rubber bait keeper looks exactly like Roboworm's Rebarb hooks - which may very well be patented, hence him not offering it on his hooks. Unfortunately Roboworm only does Rebarb on very thin wire hooks.
