Re: Ok maybe Im getting old. BUT
I agree with Guyle's comment. If you don't like the ad, don't buy the product. I know I won't.
Some ad agencies feel that if you remember their names, then they have been successful in their campaign. I disagree.
There was an ad several ads ago with some old fool proclaiming, "Don't squeeze the Charmin" Don't worry Sport! Your ad was so irritating I still refuse to buy that product.
Current product or ads that will NEVER see a dime of my money are:
Ish's products (peddle that ghetto language crap in the ghetto)
Free Credit Report.com......idiot white boy rapping
Vonage.....everything about these ads are irritating
Sham Wow.....bury that pus pocket pitchman
When the broadcast ads appear, I change the channel or mute the program 'til the fools are gone.
Some of you seem to think that Ish's product names are not important, or simply innocent. Words mean nothing, right?
Does anyone remember when there was no cursing or nudity in the movies? Are movies better today because of the inclusion of cursing and nudity?
Are morals today higher or lower than in the past?
Don't misunderstand what I'm trying to say. I'm not blaming the decay of society on Ish Monroe. He is NOT the illness, just a symptom. Many of you seem to think that if you ignore the symptom, however slight, the disease will not advance. My friends, we are in a full blown Stage 4 pandemic.

Back then, did you get your nudie fix from stag flicks, French postcards, Tijuana Bibles, stereoviewer cards and the corner "sporting" house? Tell us about ye olde days!Larry Douglas wrote:Does anyone remember when there was no cursing or nudity in the movies?

fish food....
Back in the olde days, I DID get my fix with underground stuff. Key word being "underground". My children weren't exposed to it.
You sound as if you don't mind what children hear or see. If that's so, YOU are the problem!

While punching my sweet beaver today I continually was bit on my Main Vein. Nice new color, I recommend it to all.

Re: Ok maybe Im getting old. BUT
I think the names are inappropriate, but I have a different question.
The frogs apparently have a sealed air chamber, so they will not fill up with water. It this is the case, it sounds like the chamber would not compress on the hookset, so the frog could have a reduced hookup ratio. Also, could the chamber burst when a big bass crushes it?
I was at the capitol for the Peripheral Canal Rally.

Re: Ok maybe Im getting old. BUT
All of this over names of lures. Some guys say that they wont use beavers because of the hidden meaning behind them, just curious if they use one the best worms ever made, the "green weenie". This was one of the hottest baits out just like the beaver is now, if you use it great, if you dont, quit your b!tch!ng. If you get worked up over this, how do you enjoy fishing. Life is to short go have fun.
Re: Ok maybe Im getting old. BUT
Yep, still alive. Just not posting as much lately. I've been fishing more saltwater lately being the good season and all. I'm really slacking on the bass fishing, I may have forgot what it feels like to catch a bass! One without stripes anyway.Brian wrote:Dude, you still alive?
