Who knows the Main guy at Cruiser Haven...Read this..

Post by aNNieNsaLTIE »

found this in the reports page..

Name: Lenny
Date: 2009-08-09
Location: Brentwood
E-Mail:
Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 feet visibility)
Report: Launched at Orwood at 6:00 AM and headed to Disco Bay. Had one blow up on the frog in Disco but it didn't commit. Started to head toward old river and saw a school of shaker stripers feeding on shad. Partner and I caught about 15 shakers and one black on spooks and crankbaits before deciding to look for some bigger fish. Fished old river and rock slough the rest of the day and got 7 or 8 blacks, mostly in the 1-2 pound range. Pulled up to my favorite tree and stuck a pig on the drop shot only to have her come off right at the edge of the boat. One quality bite all day and she came unglued. Whatever we threw only seemed to produce bites when it was fished very slowly.

Tips: Slow down...and stay away from the first dock as you enter Cruiser Haven. Some idiot didn't like us fishing near his dock so he decided to break out his shotgun.

I got the contra costa sheriff number in my phone just due to these reasons.

I remember the thread similar to this post and location. I just read this in our reports pages. I remember one of the fella on here knows the owner of cruiser haven. Maybe that guy can talk to the man who owns the shotgun!

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Had a guy like that at Oxbow Marina up north with my partner. Guy threatened to get the water hoses on us...never happened. Threatned to call Coast Gaurd and Sherriff, sat in his marina for 3 hours waiting for them, never came. Just weird people who have something against people who fish.

Yeah, the Harbor Master of CH is on that previous thread and said if there was any more problems with the guy, give him a call. I believe he left all his contact info on that thread.
Matter of fact, here's the last part of his reply.
Fishermen are welcome to fish in the marina, all we ask is to be courteous and respect the right to privacy of our tenants. The slips and docks are for tenants only and are off limits... please respect this rule.

Please visit our website at www.cruiserhaven.com for more info. Cruiser is a great place to keep your boat for the summer so please give us a call if you would like a slip for the season.

Sincerely,

Kevin Hinman

If anyone hears anything let me know please! I was thinking about heading over there in my tube and with this news I don't know where I'm going to go.

Sucks to have to worry about getting shot while fishing...

Is Law Enforcement going to wait until someone gets killed before they confront this guy? I believe it is against the law to even brandish a weapon. And I would think the marina would share some liability for his actions since they know of him but have done nothing to mitigate the problem.

I am the guy who had the bad experience in there with my wife. We have not (I have not) been back so I guess he won the battle.

I don't know why he acts the way he does towards fisherman, maybe he has a good reason? I know my experience was not good and in my ignorance I forgot about all this and thought it went away. Wrong!

In my opinion the boat owner will continue to act in an irresposible manner until something really bad happens.

So with that in mind I would encourage everyone to stay away from Cruizer Haven, in fact tell everyone you know to stay away, tell fisherman, customers looking for supplies, people looking for berths, your barber, everyone.

I guess my team partner and I should go spend a little time there, see how the guy likes the response of an off duty police officer when he pulls out his shotgun....

It's illegal to even make threats, let alone actually pulling out the gun... what a frickin' idiot. He'll probably have a heart attack some day and die.

I noticed the old guy that used to scream profanities and blow an air horn when bass fishermen idled around bethel island at 5.1 mph instead for 5 isn't around anymore. That guy must have been 75 -80 and his face was always bright red, he looked like he had high blood pressure or something

Take a picture of the guy for law enforcement, preferably with his shotgun.

EXACTLY!!!! Most if not all of us have cameras with us so if it happens again pull your camera out snap a pic of him. No better proof than that right there. Then continue to fish and turn in the pic to the sheriff.

if he comes out with a shotgun just shoot him. End of story. Guess I am lucky it wasn't me he pulled a gun on. I am not a fan of jail but were I come from, you pull a gun you use it. I would not have waited to figure out if he was going to shoot. Don't want to be rude but I am glad it wasn't me.

I am sure lots of Police officers and law enforcement agents fish..

But to take a picture of a guy and with a shotgun pointed at me, I'd poop in my pants yet alone try to focus my camera just to get a good picture of the barrel of a shotgun..

I know I will out next week, I have not experienced this first hand, but I will be making a call to the manager of Cruiser Haven.I like fishing this area.

unfortunately, there are whackos out there and sometimes they win. here in sacramento, there's a nut that lives in a house in a corner right next to a park with little league baseball fields. for some reason, he thinks he owns the public street on the side of his house facing the park and he comes out a screams and threatens anyone who parks anywhere along there. the police have been called numerous times, both by the nut and the people who tried to park there. finally, the city had enough and took action but instead of enforcing the public's right to park on a public street, they painted the entire length of the curb red so no one will park there.

Call the local FD and invite them to a ball game if it was my company we'd park there. If he gave us trouble who do you think law enforcement would side with?

Having hunted and being around guns my whole life I know enough that none of you should provoke this idiot to point a shotgun at you...

Let the authorities take care of it... I never ever ever want to look at the buisiness end of a scattergun...

Hopefully law enforcement does something before this guy hurts/kills someone.

My Step Dad who is in his 70's sounds a lot like this idiot at C.H..
He is suffering from the early stages of Dementia and has alienated everyone that lives around him. Nobody is allowed to park in front of his house and in the past he has done minor damage to cars that have done so.
It seems every time I talk to my Mom she has a new story of what he has said to people or things he has done or was getting ready to do.
He never used to be like this until he was diagnosed with Dementia so maybe that's what the fool at C.H. is suffering from.
If he is suffering from something like this then you don't want to mess with him if he has a gun since he is not thinking rationally and if he does something he will probably get away with it.

That is correct but he sounds just as crazy. If he has the mentality of my Step Dad then he believes he is the Owner of Cruiser Haven and all the water that surrounds it.
If the guy is playing with a full deck then he's just an a-hole that needs to spend some time in the clink.

Shotgun vs a handgun or long gun from range... the hand gun or long gun WINS. he points it I drop let the glass take the hit and that is the last thing he will ever do

I'm gonna go in there this weekend with my bare hands and take this guy down. When he pulls the shotgun I will take it from him and use it on him! Of course I will spend 20+ years in prison but its worth it to teach this guy a lesson! He's not gonna challenge my manhood!
LMAO! Some guys on here are unbelievable. Just call the cops and make them do their job.
