I can’t believe I would ever say this, I'll take Clinton.

Post by 2ndsuks »

November 4th 2008 was not a celebration in my home but I did give into the fact that my candidate lost the election and like taking a spoonful of castor oil when sick, I excepted it.
Immediately I thought of all the democrats that endured eight years of a president they detested and I admired, but now the shoe was on the other foot and I realized I would have to deal with it, just as they did with Bush. Having a left winger leading the country was not my idea of bliss but what the hell, I could put up with it for four years couldn’t I. Maybe this new guy would reach across the isle like he promised and govern from the center like Bill Clinton. It’s surely not going to be as bad as I was making it out to be, was it? Well, I’ve had eight long months to examine what Barack Obama is selling and I can tell you with certainty, I don’t want any part of it. He is more of a threat to this country than I envisioned, far more. Before you accuse me of Hyperbole I assure you I’m not having a Glen Beck moment so bear with me, I do a lot of research and think for myself, it is crystal clear that my freedom is in jeopardy if this administration continues down this radical road.
Anyone that cannot acknowledge the systematic dismantling of our liberty is either in denial, ignorant or will not admit they were wrong.

denial, ignorant, not willing to admit. Give one clear example of your freedom and liberty being taken from you. We lost more liberties and rights under Bush than any other time in our history.

I see a chance for our country to move forward, all of us, not just a select few as was the case with Bush. Clearly 9/11 was used as a ruse and a means to seperate the classes. All evidence suggests that a war in Iraq was planned prior to 9/11, evidence has been provided that Bush knowingly mislead us into believing we "needed" to invade iraq. Clearly some people are in a state of denial.

What part about that administration did you actually admire? The part where we were drug into an unwarranted war? The part where they gave up trying to find the actual mastermind behind 9/11 and the regime that made it possible? The illegal detentions? The illegal search and seizures? The unlawful treatment of prisoners of war? The mishandling of national emergencies? The errosion of domestic infrastructure? Or maybe it was the blinds eye towards vets? The lack of clear leadership on immigration, healthcare, environmental policy, middle eastern policy, european policy, south american policy, far east policy. I can't empathize with you in the least. I don't agree with this administration on certain issues but I do on many others. I am mature enough to accept that I cannot have all things my way, I am willing to compromise thats how democracy works.

Where did you get that idea? It can be censored if you want it to be censored.

I think it's great how quickly Obama has undone all the "nasty, terrible, illegal" things the Bush administration put in place after 9/11.

Ohh wait....he has kept almost ALL of them.

Same old same old. If you see change here you are BLIND.

I am looking forward to 2010 to see the R's gain back some control on the hill and put an end to this incompetent administrations reign.

One thing that is CRYSTAL clear is that with each passing day the country is slowly realizing we've elected the most incompetent president EVER.

No hope needed for this change.

The incompetents calling the shots on the hill now are ensuring that change will be a certainty.

Hope is NEVER, EVER a good strategy.

Too bad the hope and change you voted for has turned out to be a massive load of crap. Nice work.

Keep hoping....ohh yeah......
