Joe Wilson
Joe Wilson
So what do you think about Joe Wilson's outburst last night? Ive been reading through the blogs today and I was shocked to see how many support Joe.
My thought is, theres a time and place and this wasnt the time. Seems very disrespectful to say the least. Your thoughts?

I agree with you but I can see how someone could loose their cool, even a congressmen, especially when they have been lied to time and time again. Given the hostile political climate of the past eight years it was inevitable. Would he have been the better man had he not, of course, however, I also believe Obama would have been the better man had he left his propaganda out of the speech.

Re: Joe Wilson
Obama set the tone with his out right lies statement. He shouldn't be suprised by the reaction. The look on Pelosi's face was priceless

Re: Joe Wilson
I cant say Im surprised by the votes on here. So whats next? Out right fights? Or out right yelling during a speech? Where do we draw the line?
I guess the next question would be is there anything Republicans do that cross the line? Seems like every time something like this happens people find a way to justify it.
How the heck to we ever expect to move forward with stuff like this going on?

Barack Obama took a harsh partisan position last night and the tone was created.
It’s hard to command respect when you don‘t give it out. The eight year scar of complete disrespect for the last administration set the precedent, it will not heal overnight my friend.

That was a blantant show of disrespect for the President of the United States. He quickly issued an apology to save his @ss. They have all been lied to by other presidents and each other. You would think that they would get used to it.

He has watched too many townhall meetings recently. Pretty typical of people in general these days. Just plain rude and an embarassment to his state and the people he represents.

Re: Joe Wilson
I'd take Jim Wilson ANYDAY over Boxer, Feinstien, Barbara Lee, or Pelosi. The difference between him and them is that he KNEW he made a mistake and apologized. Those that represent us in this liberal state of Ca DO NOT apologize when they make a mistake. They just continue on with their out of touch lives thinking they can do no wrong, regardless of the mistakes they may make.

Re: Joe Wilson
So seperate the act from the lie, He said he was sorry for yelling. If he thinks what was said was a lie he should NOT be sorry for saying it was.
On the other hand if it was a lie, should'nt Obama come forth and say he's sorry for telling the lie in the first place?

Re: Joe Wilson
I notice nothing being said from our far left WB friends about our president outright lying to the American people.

He should have thrown a shoe.
The great non sequitur committed by defenders of the State, including classical Aristotelian and Thomist philosophers, is to leap from the necessity of society to the necessity of the State.
Re: Joe Wilson*NM*
Joe did not do anything anyone of us did to the TV last night. Well we do have a few who do the Obama Pledge.
