Vail Lake results for today

Congrats to Eric Wong and Mike Hart taking first place at Vail Lake with 20.13# and the big bass of the event weighing in at 7.42#! They won $5,475 with 43 teams

Second place went to Richard Miller and Shawn Cooley with 19.87#. Their big bass was 6.82#. They won 2--1 year memberships to Vail Lake which is a value of $3,400.

Third place went to Jonathan Wdowiak and Art Berry with 15.82# Their big bass weighed in at 4.08#. They won $1,500 today. Art went on to fish the El Cajon night event with Jim Sleight in San Diego. Now that is going to be a long day for him and a few others that also fished our event and went to fish the night event in San Diego. Good luck to them!

Fourth place paid $700 for Michael Hernandez and Joe Mayerchik of Valley Center. They had 15.80#.

Fifth place was won by Frank Taylor and Jerry Roe with 15.58 for $600
Sixth place was won by Timm O'Donnell and Boone Dalton with 15.13# for $550
Seventh place was won by Doug Hagadorn adn Colton Baker with 15# and $450
Eighth place paid $400 to Jeff Lenard and Erich Cline
10th place had the second biggest bass of the event weighing 7.31. Tony Lain and Ricky Shabazz won $285 for this.
Finishing in 16th place, Nate Selters and Dale Halloway brought in a bass weighing 7.26 for $190 Third big bass of the event

I had a blast, it was a great event and the fishing was a blast. We may have took first out of the money but it was still worth it. On Friday we rung up 3 fish over 7, one weighing in at 9.35. That part was kind of frustrating, pull up on a spot take one cast and land a 7. We must have shook off all the wrong one's (lol). But thats how it goes sometimes.

Thanks to Lynne and NBW for putting on a great event and I look forward to the next.

Yeah it was a great event. I found a very good bite on friday and shook off several good fish, unfortunately on saturday the bigger fish didn't materialize for me. My partner and I had a limit early but weren't able to upgrade much throughout the day. I do wish they would do something about the roads in Vail, almost bounced my boat off the trailer a couple times

We had a limit within 20min and were culling all day. In fact, I had graphed off a small set of tree's holding bait in 12-15ft. For almost 2 1/2 hours we boated well over 80-100 fish(almost every cast). The only problem was size, 2.2-2.7 clones. I stayed on the spot for obvious reason's and in hope the bigger one's would move in.

Didn't happen... But the finish on about 5 RC3.5DDRT is destroyed...

is vail lake a real good lake or somethin. 80-100 fish. wow. is it a clear water impoundment or stained.

Stained water.....I have only been there 4 or 5 times and each time has been fun. And 80-100 was being nice, could have been more..

Hippie and Guy, u guys did a great job with the boat inspections, weigh in, and Guys fine BBQ pork sammys!!! Hey maybe next time I could put together a limit with that piggy???
