Calcutta 250 DC for Saltwater use??

Post by 185vsfrog »

What do you think Dan and what is Shimano's recommendation, if any? I notice the spool has big holes in the middle exposing the shaft and copper/magnet/anti backlash parts. It seems that saltwater would find its way in there pretty quickly and would it short out the digital control.

Yes they are approved for use in saltwater. Perfect inshore reels for plastics.

Thanks alot Dan. I'm gettin one. Gonna pair it up on a 1082 GL3 Loomis steelhead rod. I will use it in the bay casting for stripers. It will also double up in the delta when I want a long rod. Thanks again.
