Coming generations will learn equality from poverty, and love from woes.
"The trouble with quotes on the Internet, is that you can never know if they are genuine." - Abraham Lincoln
Re: Can't wait to see this
Not sure I get what you mean by that but yes there will be poverty just like there always has been.
There will likely be poverty on an unprecedented scale coming soon but a broader view than that self serving nut job portrays is necessary to have any hope of truly understanding what is going on.
To just blame capitalism is a lazy view. Most lazy people do just that too. They are pissed because they don't have as much as the ones who gave it their all do so they blame it on capitalism.
They should shift their suspicions to human nature instead. It is human nature that let them succumb to underachieving just like it is human nature that drove others to manipulate the rules in their drive to overachieve.
One of the key, if not THE key components in the coming catastrophe is a direct product of banking laws that allow banks to lend more than they have. That and a privately controlled Federal Reserve system will be at the heart of the coming meltdown that already has other countries dumping the dollar before they get caught with it when the music stops.
What are these banking laws and the Federal Reserve system a direct product of? Government meddling!
Government meddling, at the request of greedy, power hungry humans, that only served to make the free market an instrument that could be played by someone with the necessary knowledge and leverage to do so. I could say that it was all an attempt to make life more fair for all of us but that would be BS. It was greedy men changing capitalism from the best thing for humanity into a dirty word in the minds of those lacking the will to learn about what was really happening. This includes that idiot Moore.
Now Moore, armed with a completely false notion of what the true underlying source of the problem is, goes out and uses his talent for casting spells to fool other weak minds into believing that capitalism is the root of the problem and not human nature. A call for government meddling while not seeing (or admitting) that government meddling was the tool used to screw it all up in the first place.
I thought you could see that Greg.

Why would anyone pay this fathead a dime to see this piece of garbage? I mean, seriously, has anyone stopped and thought about how wealthy this slob is......due to selling movies in the very capitalistic society he hates? He gets famous selling a movie about the evils of General Motors; the very company his guy bails out and now owns (sorry, we own, but not really, because we don't get so much as a say so) He makes another piece of garbage, paralleling what happened in Columbine, and the second amendment. Look, Michael, if America is so bad, you got plenty of money off us, go live in the Utopia that only exists in your fat head.

Meddling, involvement....what's the difference?No its from government involvement.
A rose by any other name....
It is the main tool of the propagandist to change a "bad" word into a "good" one. Amazingly, they can, without altering the actual message, change the impact it has on a selected audience.
Meddling = bad
Involvement = good
My wife's company likes the term "right sizing" better than "down sizing". I Wonder why?
US "involvement" with the native North American people must have been good because it wasn't meddling.
These are the kinds of tools that tool Moore uses in his witchcraft.
OK, you're just jerking me now

No, I have not, and will not see this movie, yes, I have seen Bowling for Columbine, and Roger and Me, I watched most of Sicko. Its not as if I don't know his work, sir. Greg, this is where the argument often goes awry. You speak that only AlQueda hates this country. I guess thats fine for you, however, many of us feel very strongly that there is a progressive socialist movement here, in this country, who have been working very diligently to undermine our current political system. Its not as if there isn't evidence to show this. Folks like Micheal Moore, who openly make movies/propaganda, attacking our capitalistic system, gun ownership rights, and pushing healthcare systems that mimick socialist europe; are right there in front of us. When you have an open Marxist, and terrosist, Bill Ayers, not only supporting publically, but finacially, candidates for political office in our country; it becomes more than just propaganda. When you have representatives and senators, who openly support open borders, and likes of Castro or Hugo Chavez, well, its getting down right scary. Long Rifles' statement of those who hate America, I'm sure, encompasses those aforementioned, as well as many others....right here in the good ole' USA. So, again, you can choose to see that or not see that, agree or not agree, but saying that someone has gone overboard because they feel folks that might support gun control, the killing of free speech (ie: the Fairness Doctrine) and an immagration policy that allows the U.S. to be invaded without so much as a shot being fired; hate America. I believe that unto itself, is going overboard. BTW, those last three items, are ALL supported by both of our Senators, Ms. Pelosi and Boxer. I see here, time and time again, no one actually debates or talks of real issues, bothering each other, we simply use a tactic, such as you just did, to negate anything that person feels. It is counter productive. Its is what goes on, every day in the media, and it is.....exactly why we have such a divided nation, with a bunch of over paid, power hungry morons running it. Its like the news soundbite of the day.....it sorta gives you THEIR view point, but it rarely gives you the whole story.

You aren't even aware of the full story yourself. The truth is that both sides are as corrupt as each other. Its fascism on one side and socialism on the other side with a whole bunch of bewildered people in the middle. They have us believing we can change things by voting. Fascism? PleaseGreg_Cornish wrote: The truth is that both sides are as corrupt as each other. Its fascism on one side and socialism on the other side with a whole bunch of bewildered people in the middle. They have us believing we can change things by voting. (Big Laugh)
Well at least you admit the left is a socialist leaning faction of our government.
Re: Can't wait to see this
Fascism on one side? Curiously, please explain to me which side you are refering to? The fascism I see would be things like the Fairness Doctrine. What else might you consider? Now, as far as you feeling like you can't change things voting. To a certain extent, you are correct. However, that is only in the two party system we currently vote under; which in reality, is basically a one party system, run by the political elite. Those who challenge that system are undermined, ignored or marginalized. That much is true. However, I disagree with feeling my vote does not count, or cannot change things; I personally feel the ONLY way to get true change, is to vote OUT those in power, whom I feel go against the ideals I hold true. I also feel that not voting, and also, permanenting that sort of we cant win, they always do, is EXACTLY what the politicians want, and continue to be the ruling political class from. This country was never founded on the idea of a two party system, and certainly our forefathers never meant for politics to become a business, such as it has. I have stated, many times here, that our represtatives , represent everyone, but us....we the people. Thats our fault. In a democracy, we deserve the government we get. We have an obligation to vote, and we have an obligation to speak our minds when the politicians don't do as we ask them. When that fails to no longer work, we have an obligation to make sure they go, one way or another. Too many times, we make up our minds based upon the D or R at the end of someone's name, and cast a ballot based upon this. Its antiquated thinking. Its what keeps the bastards who we all seem to be diallusioned with, in power. Our state legislature here in CA is a prime example. So, you see, I actually do see both sides clearly, and make up my own mind based upon what I see as right/wrong, for me. What say you brother?

Re: Can't wait to see this
How could you ever watch a Moore film and not feel his passion for this great country-oh you've never seen one. It use to be like sports you could complement an opposing rivals players,team, or coach but now its like nobody can see past their own views.(both sides being guilty of this!) And to admit to someone that doesn't share your exact views has a point seems impossible for some. Usually most problems have a correct answer but if your being motivated by other things than common sense, logic etc. you look like a
