JIGS FALL CLASSIC, GREAT JOB PHIL!

Post by atwaterbassfisher »

Fished the Jigs Fall Classic today on Don Pedro. Tough bite but what a great job Phil did coordinating this tourney. Home cooked breakfast and lunch, tackle pack at check-in, fast raffle w/ lots of cool prizes, nice plaques, awesome big fish awards! Can't wait for next year. Thanks again for a great tourney Phil.

i didnt win as much $$$ as you did w/u'r 3.??lber in the hbc, but it worked..( it ate a 10" swim bait 3rd cast in about 40 ft)... thanx phil and peggy for a great event... i dont know of anyone else who has cared enough about this fishery to put on an event like this to restock or add habitat to the lake... this was so we and our kids can continue to catch fish in the future.... again, ""GREAT JOB""!!!

Phil thanx for the geat job and great food. I dont want to start anything but I was dissapointed with the low turnout for this event. Phil had advertised the tournament well in advance and as a moterlode fisherman I expected a better turnout. This event was important given the fact that we all know that DFG could do without the bass fisherman, as its more important to stock trout and salmon. I realize the lake has been brutal which may have kept a lot of guys away and the fact fpt was there of saturday (what hapened to some of those guys?). I am sorry if I have offended anyone but when my partner had to work all night and didnt back out plus another driving half the night from Hanford just to fish this event makes me wonder whyothers couldnt suck it up and show up.
Congrats to Robert and his partner on the win and Phil thanx for the raffle prize and tackle pack and I will plan on next time.

we talk about the tuff bite up here, and always say maybe that is why the turnout has been low..."THAT IS THE BEST TIME TO COMPETE" :!: :!: when the swimbait bite is on, guys wine and say we cant throw a swimbait, so we cant compete...when the fishing is tuff, the same guys feel they cant compete...... maybe we can start "ANOTHER" circuit,"THE WHINERS tour" :!: :!: :!:
