Post by BuckSnort »

I have a about a 4 month old 703c that lost an eye ( 4th one from tip)

Do I have to send it in or can I take it back where I bought it?

Before you take it somewhere to have someone put a new guide on...make sure that wont void the warranty from Powell. If so send it back to Powell and have them replace the rod. Its better then losing the warranty for a quick fix.
If Powell said its okay to have the guide replaced then by all means take it to the place Ryan spoke of..

Definatley call Keith and find out about the warranty first, more than likely he will allow it.. better safe than sorry.

Very wise advice given in the quote above.

Keith is a good guy, and he'll be happy to get you squared away, one way or the other.
