Anyone know when/if Folsom will get planter trout? Some lakes are getting them already just wondering when the DFG are going to feed the bass up at Folsom

The plants at Folsom will most likely start this month and continue throughout the winter. Lower elevation waterbodies get planted fall through spring when the water temps are cooler. Fish get allotted for Folsom in both flush and lean times, it's just a matter of how many. The recent budget troubles haven't really impacted the allotments to the reservoirs all that much. Any shortages have been able to be made up because there have been some waters that couldn't be planted due to the lawsuit over the stocking EIR. Many of costs at a hatchery facility are pretty much fixed whether at full capacity or not. Really it's just the cost for food and gas for the trucks that would change with less fish. The pumps still need to run, the raceways still need to be cleaned, the fish that are there still need to be cared for.
