2009 Anglers Marine Bass-A-Thon

Post by Rick G »

Here are the details of this years show. Sorry for all the delay, but along with the help of the fine folks at WON and our Tackle Manager John Duetsche we are ready to get out to the public the guidelines for this years show. Thanks upfront for all their hard work. There are some new and exciting things being introduced this year:

We have a new show layout this year with more professional [larger] factory show displays. This meens more product for display, including more clothing.
2-Seminar area's
Tackle "workshops" for the beginning angler like: Bass Basics 101 with Rick Tauber, Basic Plastic Worm rigging-setups with Mike Folkstad, Swimbait 101 with Mike Long, basic knot tying, and begining electronics instruction with Lowrance's Jarrett Edwards. These are going to be small group seminars with hands on training for 10-15 anglers.
"Tackle check" area [like bag check at hotel] where you dont have to keep running to your car.
New Lounge area.
More food selection
Kids Casting contest
Huge adult casting contest with proceeds going to Wounded Warriors.
Raffles both days.
Large video screens for product marketing and seminar viewing.

Not to be forgotten are the heart of what makes the Bass-a-thon happen. All the great vendors and the premiere of the 2009-2010 worlds best basstackle. This is our biggest sale of the year and there will be loads of great specials and closeouts, and a huge selection of boats that all need new homes. Come on down and lets deal! Bring your trades with you.

And last but not least here are this years speakers on the main seminar stage.
2009 FLW World Champion Greg Hackney.
2009 FLW Tour Champion and Host of TV's "Scott Martin Challenge", Scott Martin.
2009 Won Bass US Open Champion Gary Dobyns.
Former FLW World Champ and current #2 in Bassfan World Rankings Brent Ehrler.
So Cal. Swimbait designer and Fishing Hall of Famer Bill Siemental.

Thanks again for your 30 years of supporting Anglers Marine and hope to see you all at this years show Nov. 21-22nd 2009 in Anaheim, CA.

This is the 23-24th BAT. 1st one had Ricky Clunn, Gary Klein, Ricky Green, Greg Hines and Roland Martin in 1982. Also a few less pounds and gray hairs on me. Lotta Plastic over the counter since then for sure. Rick G.

PS-Sorry spell check is on vacation.

Rick - REALLY glad to see that the BAT is on this year... I'll try to make arrangements to come down for the whole event and shoot it as previously! I was surely sorry to have missed last year's BAT, and would have been really sorry if this year's BAT wasn't happening!

LONG LIVE ANGLERS MARINE!!! Thanks for all you do Rick and gang!!!

Steve is kinda an independent guy from what I hear and does not do any sponser related shows. I can ask the Kinami folks. Will let you know. He kinda stays away from the endorsement stuff by just winning tournament dollars. Rick G.

Rick,
Picked up my boat there. I also made a quick stop when visiting the Mouse with the family. Both days were during the week.

Hoping to make BAT this year. How is the parking during the event?

The vendor invitations just were mailed yesterday. There has been tremendous interest in the larger factory displays as we have a new show layout for 2009. If you are or were a past vendor and are interested in showing Bass related product and do not get a invitation, just call and we will send you one. All space is first come, first served. Rick G.

They have just built a new Kaiser Hospital across the street and it has a giant parking lot. No problem there. Vendor forms coming in daily. Should be fun. Rick G.
