Rago Soft Tool and Live Trout?

Post by FIVEtenthz »

I read on Tackle Tour these new baits sold out so fast at Bass Jam they couldn't even get a picture of em. Anybody know of any pics online?

Met Jerry Rago for the first time this weekend. What a nice guy and one heck of a lure maker. I was so impressed with his baits and how he talked to everyone about how and why he does what he does with them.

Nice to meet someone that you have read about for years and they are such a class guy.

I agree, I watched his seminar and the guy has one heck of a philosophy on swimbait fishing. His rod with the spiraling eyes was something I never seen and his technique of basically drop shotting a swimbait was very cool.

Pat Keniry caught the big bass of the Perris tournament yesterday on a Rago bait and always kicks everyone's a$$ with them.

The baits I wanted to see the most are the Rago's and I have everything he has put in to production. I have not seen on line yet the Rago baits I heard about that I was hoping to see on line at Bass Jam especially the soft Tool. I had so much hope in the Rago Real Trout but Castaic did not have the quality control to pull it off. I have a feeling the soft Trout is going to be sweet as well as the soft shads. I can't wait till they hit the market.

drop shotting a swimbait

This does not work unless you do it right in the middle of a tree in 300 feet of water... Everything gets out eventually!
