Minn Kota Fortex 80 US2

I'm on my second Fortex MOM/OFF/CON switch doesn't work in either position, it runs continuously. No response from the momentary switch on foot pedal. Both units new out of the box.

Any Suggestions

It could be the megnetic switch button. It is to close to the switch and keeping the motor running, Try taking out the top button and see if the motor stops. If it does then call me I have a fix. I don't feel like trying to explain the fix via chat. To much to write.

It is pretty easy to adjust if you havent tried. There is a tubular magnet under the pedal switch that needs to be adjusted by pushing it in or pulling it out. Remove the switch cover (foot pedal button), push the magnet in and replace the switch cover. The monetary switch will work like it is in continuous mode. Take it back apart and start backing the magnet out until the motor stops when pedal button is not pressed. It may take a few times to make it work without trying to step on the button too hard vrs. having it run like it is in continueous mode. Seems to me that once the switch is properly adjusted it is a trouble free design, there is no mechanical switch.
