Lowrance LSS-1 ducer

Post by Kevin Shin »

Anyone with a definite answer?

If I buy LSS-1 package (which comes with a ducer),,,,should I buy

a HDS unit without a ducer?

The question is "do I need both transducers or only one in LSS-1

package?" for both side/down scan and traditional look.

You need both, the LSS-1 455/800 kHz transducer is for Structure Scan and the 200, 83/200 or 50/200 kHz transducer is for your 2D traditional sonar.

Kevin

If your thinking about the dash/console

I think the ans is if you have a glass in ducer allready in your boat that reads good at any speed and is within 1 foot ( maybe alittle more but they really went it within 1') of were you can mount the LSS-1 then your Good to go with a hds unit without a reg ducer

But if not I would buy the hds with a new ducer and start from new

Just my 2 cents worth on this
