I've been using 10 lb. and 12 lb. on my baitcasters. It's been fine for me, no problems.

been using mean green for 10 years...never a break...
Re: McCoy 100% Floro??
Mean green is just fine, however I do not like the 100% fluoro, just seems to stiff and brittle. I will use Flouroclear P-Line for my
flouro line, it has proved the best for me. BIll K

Fun fishing the country, each and every week.

Ok.. Same here..rich mendoza wrote:i tried some when t.w. had the half off sale. i wont be getting any more of it!! sticking with p-line.
I thought it was just the spool that I bought at the BAT..
Having said that let me be brutally honest..
It SUCKED and SUCKED BAD!
Worst Floro I have ever fished in my life... I usually use Sunline FC Sniper but the guy at the BAT was a cool guy and they had a decent deal on it in which I bought one to give it a try..
Never again!

Re: McCoy 100% Floro??
I have been using the McCoy Floro 100 for a few months now and I love it!
I have been using 8, 10, 12, 15lb with no problems at all
I was using InvisX before, The differences I noticed is the Floro 100 has less stretch and doesn't seam to have as much memory.
It is also a bit larger in diameter than the InvisX.

Re: McCoy 100% Floro??
I used the 8 lb over the weekend for the first time and thought the line handled nicely. Caught a small bass with it, and detected the bite just fine. Didn't seem to have too much of a memory problem, but then I spooled up the night before the trip. Let's give it a few weeks and see if it starts coiling. I also have some of the floro in heavier test up to 17 that I'll be trying out on other rigs. So the jury is still out with me, but so far so good on the McCoy floro. I love their Mean Grean co-polymer.
