Re: Favorite Drop Shot set up?
For the Mother Lode Lakes - This is 80% of the time how I do it.
Reel JM 4000 from Bass Pro Shops or U.S. 230
Rod 7ft med/hvy/fast act
Line 10lb P-LINE fl/clr/coated
Hook Owner down shot offset 5133-091
worm 4" your choice
single drop 18 to 24in
double drop 24 to 96in yes up to 7ft or more will produce, in deep water.sharp drops etc...
Weight as light as you can stand it.
depth 30 to 75
On the double drop if the bite is on the top hook_ like (on fire) I will move the lower hook up near the top hook with-in about
8inch to 10inch. this will produce a few doubles. most of the time one of the fish will be larger then the other.
thats my two cents
