I always wondered how long it would take the Meth Heads to recycle All that Alunimum just lying around --- $1.86 a pound. All the walk ways on the long dock are long gone --- Wire from the boxes stripped out and the boxes are in the water now ......

BETHEL ISLAND — Five docks have disappeared from an abandoned Bethel Island construction site.

The floating docks were part of the now-stalled Delta Coves project, an upscale development of 495 single-family lots with man-made lagoons. Although construction stopped with the downturn in the housing market, nearly all of the undeveloped parcels already had docks installed.

The structures measure approximately 40x4, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.

A deputy has contacted the owner, who has not filed a formal police report.

Nonetheless, deputies are looking for them and would like to speak to anyone with information on their whereabouts. Call 925-427-8507.

I've seen similar Hood rat mentality in the Eastvale area of Riverside. They would strip all the wire out of the old dairy's and torch em. We had a few fires in our area a week for months. I actually had one where the wires were still hot and they must have found out the hard way, they tried to pull all the copper all the way to the service drop and started a weed fire. The persons at the local recycle centers usually do not help out law enforcement either. We still get the old illegal burn reported and when you get there they are burning wire to strip the insulation off.

I dont carry a gun at work and if it were up to me you would be able to have any rifle machine gun or pistol you wanted. Crime is usually higher where the general public is known to be unarmed. I totally agree with you.
