NBW payout and cancelation of Pyramid event 1-9-10

Post by Lynne »

Happy New Year....early
I personally called the anglers in the Southwest Region to let them know my mess-up...(wish I could blame someone else but I can't
Just wanted to let the anglers that I was not able to personally call know that the National Bass West event at Pyramid on january 9, 2010 has been postponed due to the fact that I did not know that we also needed a Department of Forrestry permit for the event. We have the DFG permit not the Dept of Forrestry permit. That takes longer than 3 weeks for them to process. Many of the anglers that I called were very excited to postpone the event. BTW happy anniversary to Sabino Cici and his wife on the 9th....

Our event that is scheduled for February 27th is a go at Pyramid.

Hope everyone is doing great and we look forward to starting up the events again.

Here is the payout for a 50 paid team field...entry only with an additional $500 going towards the TOC at Havasu on October 15/16, 2010

1. $1,500
2. $1,300
3. $900
4. $750
5. $600
6. $550
7. $500
8. $400
9. $375
10. $325
11. $300

PLUS OPTIONS We hold back an additional $500 to go towards the TOC.

We felt that we did not want to make the payout top heavy and spread the money down further. Our payout is a 1 in 4.5 payback

Here is the January calendar of events for National Bass West
January 17th, 2010 at Diamond Valley Lake
January 23, 2010 at Lake Havasu
January 23, 2010 at Delta, Brennan Island
January 24, 2010 at Oroville
January 30, 2010 at Lower Otay
January 30/31, 2010 SHASTA PRO TEAM EVENT 95 % PAYBACK

We look forward to seeing you at the events. 100% payout entry AND options

Lynne, happy holidays. I have a few questions.

Did the "guaranteed" dollar sponser go away?
The money collected for the fishoff is going to be paid back in cash and is not being used for year-end championship boats?
Just kinda confused as your payback has always been very good and this looks like it took a hit IMHO. Looks like it is now along the lines of ABA, which is good as there fishoff pays big money due to the fact they save all year for it. I counted your remaining events in the Southern region and it shows about 29 derbys left including FOCL and the Open events [no trout]. Is the $500.00 number based on $10.00 a team per event? Just trying to get a idea. Thanks for being upfront. Rick G.

Hey Rick happy holidays to you too!

Normally I WOULD NEVER COMPARE NBW TO ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION since that is their business and our business is different,..not better or worse just different. But since you asked, I will respond for all to know. Actually, ABA takes money out of the entry fee to pay the directors....I think around $20-$30....then additional money to pay ABA company and then additional money to pay for the year end TOC, a certain percentage. National Bass West DOES NOT TAKE MONEY OUT OF THE ENTRY FEE TO PAY FOR ANY EXPENSES AT ALL. Our payback against ANY organization is better. I am not here to brag, just stating the truth. All of the orgs are special in their own way. NBW likes to offer a 100% payback and breakfast and a barbecue for the anglers to enjoy.

National Bass West on the other hand has always taken out $10 a team that goes to pay for the payout at the TOC AND the boat has in the past been donated by the dealership/Skeeter Boats/Yamaha Motors....no cost to NBW in most years.

Our guaranteed payout sponsors are still here. It is just that since the economy is how it is, we figured that there might be less participation and how could the anglers go wrong with a TRUE 100% payback.....besides after you got to 40 teams or so, the 100% payout is better than the guarantee.

The 100% payback is truely 100% back to the anglers...nothing to do with the TOC boat only to do with the payback starting at 2nd and on down for a 1 in 5 payback for the TOC. We do not have $450 or so in options to fish the TOC like ABA....we have $170 is options available...makes for less payout but WAY MORE affordable for the anglers and what we have heard from the anglers that fish our TOC they like the lesser of the two....not saying that ABA is wrong just different.

Hope this clarifies any questions that you have. See you at DVL on January 17, 2010.

Enjoy your New Year Eve

so lynn which one is it 1and 5 or 1and 4 and for 50 boat field 1and 4 wouldnt it pay 12 spots. please evryone knows aba charges a grip for there options at the toc that is the difference nice job in, pointing that out . rick always says payouts are better at aba but he never mentions how much they charge for their toc and its funny how little there pay out is during the normal team tournies but you dont have to say anything cause there membership or participation shows it.

Lynne, thanks for the answers. Kyle and I support as many Org's as we can get in the calender including NBW and WON and ABA. Maybe someday someone will put out a chart with all the org's basic entry's and what they all payback with the SAME amount of boats. Jason, hope your knee is better. Rick G.

Just wanted to put this back up top so that everyone knows that the NBW event at Pyramid is going to be postponed and

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

Thanks for all of the blessings and well wishes that were sent to us via e-mail and text messaging. It is so awesome to know so many really do care and are very appreciative! Can't wait until Jaunary 17th at Diamond Valley, that is our next event for the 100% payback.
