Bravo to artificials only!

Check out his 12/23/2009 post on the Clear Lake reports thread -

I'm sure fly fisherman would have plenty to say about hardbaits, plastics, etc. I know from first hand experience when fishing in some locations - some try to make you feel bad about the way you fish.

Really, as long as you carefully release fish you don't need for food, respect the environment, respect those around you, and most of all, have fun and enjoy your time on the water, who cares how the he!! you fish? I use spinning and baitcasting gear, and rarely, but sometimes, put on some live bait. I've tried fly fishing, own some equipment, caught fish that way, but it's not my cup of tea.

Similarly, how about we apply that reasoning to various "conflicts" such as sailboaters vs. powerboaters, tournament anglers vs. recreational anglers, etc. Who cares how anyone spends their leisure time as long as they don't mess with you?

Great to see someone admit they may have made a mistake and I hope it's a trend for 2010!
