Post by Gary Dobyns »

Thanks for showing up guys. I had a blast. There were great questions. We trash talked a little :D I ZINGED KB a good one :D :D Okay he paid me back, but mine was BETTER!! I personally picked up a couple of tips from the audience ( yes from the attendees). One GREAT tip that I probably should of figured out years ago BUT now I know it and I do use a lot of braid. THANK YOU for that one!!

I hope everyone in the class picked up a few tips and had a good time. I did. Thanks again guys!

Gary,
Your welcome :) anytime, Thank you for your time as well as the rest of the pro's for opening up and sharing your tips and knowledge. It was a great weekend filled with lots of valuable information that will help give me that extra edge that one needs on the water. Knowledge is definately power and a strong confidence builder as well. This is definately something no bass fisherman should ever miss. If they don't cover it you have a great sound board to bounce your questions to. It definatelty helps shorten the learning curve; I am looking forward to next years event, you can never have too much information.

Gary,
I've never met you, and I've always thought highly of you. Now I can surely say "I think even higher of you."

I'm an aspiring angler looking to move upward amongst the AAA ranks, fishing as a co this year along the FLW West, etc, and I am a strong advocate of minding my peas&cues. And, further more, I watch and listen intently to those that impact this industry. You are in that crew.

So, as I remember Mike Goodwin making a profound statement during last years 3rd day of the Havasu National Guard derby regarding Hideki (his Co-Angler for the day), "...hey....if you pros out there don't think you can learn anything from your co-angler, ......... , you are wrong.........Hideki put on a finesse clinic today off the back of my boat and I'm waling away a better angler because of it........"

And, here you say you learned from the guests during your seminar. I tip my hat. You are revered by many, but it's also good to hear you put your pants on just like the rest of us. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

I know digital messages get construed differently than the intent of the author, so I want to make certain you understand this message is purely complimentary.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on this site, this is what it's all about. All the best for 2010.

Regards,
Texas Rigged

Txrigged- You are 100% on the $$$$ with your statement.
Hideki fished brhind me on the 3rd day and he put on a
finesse clinic.
This guy caught bass off almost every stop I made that tough
3rd day.
If he missed one, I would ask him if he wanted me to stop
so he could make another cast at that fish and he would
just say no go ahead I'll catch another one and he did.
He won the Co side 20K and I was proud he did it behind
me.
Dude is a stud finesser.
Any pro that draws that guy might get humbled, I DID.
