body length: the jacket comes to belt line and the parka covers to about the pants pocket.
get the parka, cause when you sit down the jacket style usually rides up leaving your lower back exposed

I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR STUPIDITY,
BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"

is it best to get the insulated?
Re: Gore tex guide wear question
Depends on if you like to wear alot of clothes under your rain gear. I have the insulated and on warm rain days I just wear shorts under them........WildDog3 wrote:is it best to get the insulated?

I don't have a problem with the jacket riding up. I still have plenty of overlap with the jacket & bibs combo. No issues with the combo keeping me dry.blkdog812 wrote:body length: the jacket comes to belt line and the parka covers to about the pants pocket.

Might be more on an issue for a tall person. I am 5'7".

I thought it was the size of your belly that made them rise up when you set down

BTW, I prefer uninsulated. In winter, I usually keep the bibs/jacket on all day. Just remove insulating layers as needed.
Re: Gore tex guide wear question
I have both jacket and parka and bibs and the non- insulated is fine for around the Delta, Berryessa and south, but if you fish father north you may want the insulated or dress in layers with the non insulated
Re: Gore tex guide wear question
Especially for women - even with the elastic bottom on the jacket loosened, it rides right up our curves to the waist.blkdog812 wrote:body length: the jacket comes to belt line and the parka covers to about the pants pocket.

Bibbs + jacket
Pants + parka
I have uninsulated stuff, and layer under it, since I live in SoCal, and it doesn't get that cold here.
