Yes that is old, I pulled the old Loran C off my saltwater boat about 12 years ago. There was talk then about turning off the towers. Was a good unit back in the day, lost a few good spots when I made the change. Loran and GPS numbers are different, not by much but they are.

I used to love my loran c back in the days.... caught lot a salmon

Solid system I hope they keep it. The government can shut down satellite GPS any time they want. Most people do not realize this.
