Daiwa Fuego?

Looking for some feedback on this reel. I've always liked daiwa but use others as well. Any specific applications you guys like this reel for or do you just use it for whatever? I'm asking because I can get the reel brand new for 75 bucks, dont really need a new reel but I think I should take advantage.

Nice reels. I have three. Can be used for almost anything. I did upgrade and replace the drag washers to Carbontex. Buy it!!

I had one...didn't like it at all and it never worked right.

Got rid of it a couple of years ago.

I belive that th Fuego reel is one of the best all around reels that are made. I have eight of these and not one has ever let me down. I have owned Shimano, Quantum and Abu Garcia reels and the Fuegos are th only one that I use. The price that they are offering for these reels now, are remarkable and you are definatly getting the better deal. Good Luck

They are an outstanding reel. I fish only Daiwa reels, with most being the Zillion. I picked up a couple of the Fuegos on a sale at TW and am very impressed.

I also have quite a few Zillions, and also bought 4 (2 left, 2 right) of the Fuegos when they went on sale a couple of months ago. I've been using them almost exclusively since, and do really like them. Nice and smooth, good line capacity, and good weight and balance.

I'll be watching for another good sale and pick some more up if I find the deal.

they can be touchy at first but after some practice these things BOMB any bait you wanna use it with senko's go a mile everything else as well weightless plastics with ezzzzze sickest casting distace reel i have ever seen BUY IT well worth the money

I also feel that if you are a reaction fisherman these reels I feel have their advantages. The size is key and the balance just feels right if you like to rip all day or through spinner bait and crank baits all day. There is no place on the reel that becomes a problem spot that would cause irritation if you tend to fish fast all day. Some reels have either the side plates that extend out to far or have rough edges that end up giving you blisters. You will definitely be satisfied with these.
