Hey Tom....thanks for the update on Pedro this week. By the way, do you know or does anyone know where I can get my boat inspected for the quagga?? Or will there be someone there in the morning inspecting and providing stickers?? I plan on going up on Thursday to pre-fish, but not 100% sure I can make it Thursday....so need to know if it will be able to be done the morning of???

Thanks!

From what I have been told - Don Pedro does not have a quagga inspection. You should be fine. I recommend Clean and Dry but, the locals there are telling me there is no inspection or sticker program in place.

I was ther yesterday. No inspection. Heck they didnt even have envelopes to put money in the iron ranger. When i saw a ranger I told him and he said that he knew about it to not worry about paying.

They will be on the gate as you leave Friday afternoon, trust me on that, colleting your money.

Tom,

Just a question - how do you see the launching to be like! It could be slow since there is not that many places to tie up and one long walk to park.

We will be helping with the Launch - I will go over it in detail at the pre-tournament meeting. If need be we'll launch you - however, we generally grab the boats as you launch them and hold them for you until you get back. Wind will dictate how we do it.

It will be slow - we'll get started early and we all have to have some patience. Same for the weigh in - we will take our time and talk to everyone on the live internet feed. We'll still be out of there about the same time you get out of most tournaments. 4:30-5:00ish

As many have said there are no inspections at Don Pedro...the extent to which Don Pedro deal with the Quagga is merely a poster warning about what they look like and alerting boaters to the danger.

The flemming boat ramp is two piers that might hold 4-8 boats at a time if your lucky...and the walk up past the bathrooms will slow things up, the water is up from last year and the dirt parking near the ramps is submerged.

We will drive anglers back and forth as best as possible. So far we've done a pretty good job about making the launch pretty smooth - even with 30 mph winds directly AT the ramp (which is the worst direction) last week!

See you all there!

BTW - there are 2 spots open - both open due to health issues. Email me if you want in... TomLeogrande@gmail.com

Luckily the weather report is showing only mild wind 3-5mph.
