HDS10 RAM Mount

Post by Texas_bullet »

A Lowrance shop here claims that the HDS10 will break a 1.5" RAM mount. They are using the 2" RAM mount now. BPS Garland, TX just got in 5 of them. Your local BPS can access that inventory (usually).

That is true about the 1 1/2" ball. I have one 2" in stock if you need it.
Thanks Gene

Definitely get the 2" ram mount. That is what I just got for my humminbird 997. That is a smaller unit than the hds10 and the smaller ram still wasn't enough. The 2" ram looks massive but it's the only way to go in my opinion.

I have an HDS10 Ram mounted and use the 1.5" mount.
But I also use a "Shock Block" made to support the system. This is basiclly a fancy rubber block but works very well. :D

I was thinking about getting one of the Heavy Duty 2" Ram mounts soon. Do any of the shops around Clearlake carry them?

Another option worth checking out is a Johnny Ray mount (model JR207).
