Swimbaits not running true...

Post by BASSTUD »

I have a weedless 6'' Hudd and a Mattlures soft bluegill, both lean to one side when being retrieved. Being these baits are poored around the hook,(the hook not being removable) is there a way to make these baits swim true??....thanks in advance.

Maybe a nail weight on the light side of the bait?

With the mattlures you can dip the tail into a pot of boiling water, and hold it there for a little, this will make it swim much better.
I gotta admit I was a little dissapointed in the way the weedldess hud swims too, I dont know what u can do about that...

Ive had the same problem with the weedless hud. Instead of the tail wagging it also has a funny body roll. Ive tried boiling it and that didnt help.
