I was wondering the same thing......Millie at Millie's Bait in Vallejo use to tell me they would have a harder time getting grass shrimp when there had been an earthquake...That right there tells you there is an affect below the surface on the ecosystem...

Last evening on Rod & Reel Radio we talked about the effects if any the tsunami might have on fishing down in San Diego Bay...

We had Cptn. Chuck Taft on from the Sea Adventure II and when the tsunami approached the San Diego Bay...the bite shut off. Chuck had his boat chartered on the bay. Now at the landing, the water went down about 9 feet and actually grounded a lot of the boats that normally have plenty of water to operate. This lasted about 9 minutes.

I was and noticed nothing but a crappy bite. Heavy rain and right afterward the low was cold and I could see my breath. Also the birds were flying big time.....Nothing else.
