I have to ask, minus the paint job what did it cost to rebuild? With the paint job it was prob more that the reel cost?

Clearly cost isn't an issue with a custom 'worked' reel....

if you don't mind me asking, how much did the final project cost excluding the price of the reel? that is sweet.

I have too much in it but it was fun to build for sure.

I was able to pick up the handle used for $80 with knobs so that saved me some.
$50 in the paint job
The rest was my labor oh and Carbontex drag washers.

Late, I have a bunch of these reels already, but could you tell me aside from the carbon fiber, what does the handle do performance wise for the money? I mean $100 for a handle

The handle is very lite and nice but the knobs are way too heavy I think.

All the other stuff works & feels very smooth. You can also look at replacing all 3 spool bearings with the new Boca orange seal hybird ceramic bearing. I really like them & they are super smooth but I also remove the shields.

Of course this is just my take & my .02
