Camped at Tower Park a gillion years ago. You might check them out. But that is a ways from Russo's.

Sleep in the truck or boat, use a tarp for dew....... take ice chest, 1 loaf bread, squeeze mustard, lunch meat and a couple cans of V8... slap it together while your movin so you don't waste no time, thats how it used to be done by alot of guys........ cheap, more money for gas and fish daylight till dark. Fill some water bottles, use your green tea from home cause I know your a health food junkie.

BBQ a dog for dinner, heat a can of beanie wienie, or the absolute best, cook up a little spam and add that to your sammich 8) 8) 8) , 12volt hot pot, starbucks instant packets........ cripes snap, now thats livin

Mark

Oh yea, about that charm thing...........well you know........

No kidding.. thanks Roger... well I was wondering if there is camping available over on the east, at Herman & Helen's? Called there and no answer. Wanted to take the motorhome, but it's not out of the shop :(

A lot of us are in the same boat as you, I pretty much always sleep in the back of my truck on a mattress and bring a small propane grill for some hot links. Now if you want to pitch a tent, B and W is pretty cool about that, they wont give you a hard time and the launch is $10 and not far from some great areas to fish. Good luck

You can try Orwood Resort – it is down by Discover Bay. They have a camping site and since it is only March maybe not to many skiers.

Sleep in the boat... anchor up in a protected area, or better yet go into some marina and tie up in a vacant covered berth, sleep on the deck in a sleeping bag... use the marinas showers and bathrooms. You can pay for overnight berth pretty cheap typically.

I have rented a camp space at Russo's and slept in the back of the truck, (they have coin operated hot showers). Have also pushed the boat up into the tules and camped on the boat. Brought a folding cot to sleep on. Pretty cool listening to the beavers working at night, and watching the sunrise on the Delta. The back of the truck however is more comfortable since it gets damp on the boat. Cup of hot coffee from the coleman and you are good to go!

Camped on the dock at B&W plenty of times. They usually charge us a second launch fee for sleeping there but have never been hasseled and they always seem like good people. And like it was stated earlier its close to some good fishing..

Tower Park off Highway 12 is a good call. I recently seen some folks camping there a few weeks back. And its located nicely in the East Delta.

I have a place in Manteca. I'm a 20 minute drive to Ladd's. I'm about 1 mile from BPS in case ya need anything. If it's just a couple of you, you can throw some sleeping bags on the living room floor. Might beat sleeping in the boat or back of the truck. No charge..I've been on the short end myself! Give me a call....209-239-8600
