Favorite Frogs

Post by Greg H »

Just curious about everyone's favorite frog for the Delta. Type and colors. I learned with snag proof and have always used the old Pro Style Frogs mostly the two black colors or the watermelon. I will be taking my 10 year old son there sometime this year and he tends to want to buy some of the more crazy looking and colored colored frog type baits. I like to let him choose a little, but I also want him to get some fish too!

Try the Canyon Plastics frogs, the watermelon red with the pearl belly is the best. It might not be as easy as a Snag Proof, but it is awesome! Put a piece of an old worm in the back cavity to keep it from sinking and then you can work it slower.

Snag Proof Perfect frog in White or Wild Bullfrog is abiout as good as it gets... Simplicity, Horny Toad waked like a buzzbait also helps novice anglers get a few blow ups....

yeah, I second the Phat Frog. Works perfect, walks awesome, no more sinking, just bend the hooks up a little to increase hookups.
Can never go wrong with white, I've already caught and lost a few frog fish this year on the Phat.
