Great job guys. You guys really gave it up to. It has been amazing to see that many people know about fishing uphill and the big worm.

It was an absolute pleasure to come on down to DVL and film John and Mike. I had even more fun editing the film once I got back and found myself laughing a lot. You guys both did a great job!!! Thanks to Guy Williams, who had first right of refusal to do the filming and made the suggestion. I'm still hoping maybe Guy will squeeze me and the camera in for a shot on Puddingstone.

Not sure where next up is going to be. Talking with Chief Mark, Jerry B., Ray L., 1-800-Stan, Ryan Krost and a few others about some possibilities. Would love to do it again sometime with John and Mike.

Course we're always open to suggestions and I'm committed to getting more stuff from Southern California, Arizona and Nevada, so ifn' you're up to it my motto is, "Have camera, will travel."

Thanks,

sTony

PS - One thing I was a little less then prepared for was the 34 degree start to the morning. It was 74 when I left. Nice little 40 degree swing!

Actually I got that shirt from Bill's mama and she said she was just borrowing it from your mama. :P

About the show...........first of all thanks to Tony who drove all the way down from the Delta to film us for the day. This was actually supposed to be Guy Williams show but he had some prior work commitments. So we filled in last minute.

All B.S. aside I hope some of you were able to find it informative. I know a couple of people watched it cause I couldn't get on some of the spots after having them to myself for the last month lol.........but it's all good. Btw, The tips we showed work ALL over the lake and during yesterday's tournament we just jumped all around the lake and duplicated the pattern. Through back 2 limits yesterday that went over 22lbs.

Fish were all caught on Josh Upton's Margarita Mutilator. 9" and 13". You can buy them at Angler's Marine 714.666.2628 or at Last Chance Bait and Tackle 951.658.7410.

If you guys have any questions hit me up. MP

P.S. it goes to show that what your catching them on and where your catching them doesn't have to be "Classified Information" like some people think it needs to be. And it doesn't need to be won on a "Prototype" bait that no one can have either. Lol

Regarding George's Article

Post by megan »

The ramp didn't cost 1.1 million, it was right under $500,000.00.

I just spoke to the waterboard, water has been fluctuating, they are doing whatever they can to maintain the level we are at so we can continue to launch. They do NOT see the launch ramp closing down unless something unforseen happens ie. earthquake, 100 degree weather in April, etc. The Colorado aquaduct is closed right now, even with that they are doing what they can to maintain the level. So everyone, MWD doesn't want to close the lake down and are trying to do what they can to maintain the level of the lake. As always everyone you can go on to mwd's website and get updates on the water situation. www.mwdh2o.com

I feel much better now that it only cost half a million. Anglers' part of the cost did not diminish, however. Oh, so we're clear here, MWD will tell you exactly what you want to hear--and that's been the case since before the Domenigoni family had to sue them--and won.

Hey fellas.....Make no mistake, MP is no stranger to the "silver screen" or fishing shows. He has been rehearsing his first fishing show for the last 15 years. He knows what I am talking about........

Lets just say he was the "Bill, Roland, Shaw, Fishburne, Hank etc.." of Puddingstone lake....

Not JDub, but he was using a Dobyns DX 784 C ML jig rod - the same rod that he won HBC-6 with. It is a 7'8" rod that is perfect for throwing jigs and big worms.

YEP.....the 784DX is a great rod for the "bigger" worm...13 inchers

But my favorite worm rod, especially for the nine inch worms is the 743DX...

I took my 16 month old son out on the boat for the first time at DVL and rounded the corner on one of my favorite points and John was leaning into a fish next to Mike and I thought I saw a guy with a camera. It looked like a real fishing show! I said hi to Mike and John in the parking lot later just after they finished filming the boat. I caught three fives on a 9" brown/blue window two days later. No gimmicks needed! Only I caught mine on a G.Loomis IMX 844C. Did I mention I caught mine on a G.Loomis IMX 844C rod?
