Post by Oldschool »

Hiroshi Shimodahira, Lake Navairo, Japan reported to have caught a 9140 gram / 20.15 lb LMB. Anyone have the details or photos?

A giant bass, weighing 20.150 pounds was weighed on a certified scale, and became the new lake record. The fish was caught on a jighead/swimbait, using the " jig swimming" technique, which is basically how we fish our Cali swimbaits on jigheads for calico bass.

Looks legit, old fish with a lot of wear and tear. Looks like Japan could set another new world record bass this year from the initail FLMB plants. Congrats to Hiroshi.

Yup, the fish speaks for itself--no need to exaggerate its size with silly arm-extending enhancement!

Beautiful fish congrats to Hiroshi! it'd be interesting to know when those Florida's made it over there.

I read somewhere that this fish would set the 16lb line class record if the angler applies for it. Seems like a lot of those crawdad fish in the top 20 would of been on lighter line.

No, he's not holding the fish 3 ft out in front of him, it's just a really light weight bass for it's size

His arm is only about a foot long. I'm taller than him sitting down.
