We had a chance to get out for a while last Friday, and the living legend FINALLY caught a toad worthy of mention...

I've caught a few frogs before. Frogs are really aggressive eaters.

You may need to rig a stinger hook to that toad rig. Do you pitch it or ribbit?

Ya know, the beauty of this River when frog fishing, is ya never know when that next blow up is gonna occur. And this particular frog, acted much like a typical spring bass looking to bust somethin' thru the cheese. It's really too bad we couldn't have captured it on film, cause right up until I swung and flung tha toad 30' away and over the boat, we really thought we had a Barrack like stalker after that Perfect frog! It was classic, and I don't remember laughing so hard for 30 minutes straight!

I'm gonna submit that pic to the chance above for a fishing trip with Roger Craig! It's why I love fishin', ya just NEVER know!

Better watch how you phrase the weight...If the DEA doesn't pick up on the "Buzz Word", the local Methal Islanders will!

I got one about three times that size down here at Barrett Lake a few times on a frog too. Once, after letting it go and it swimming back to shore's edge, my friend casts to it as he'd never got one before. It ate his frog, then after release he ate it again when same friend threw at him again. Real smart ani-mules that species!

How many bass did you get over how many hours with that pattern is my question?

One of the first of many, not that I target them, from a few years ago when I first started 'frog fishing':

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

When I was younger my mom would take me striper fishing in the delta, and wed get some HUGE crawdads pullin' on our bait, some of the biggest crawfish I have ever seen!
