WOW! Didn't know about the rebate. Looking to buy Lowrance system. Is the rebate applicable at time of purchase or mail in after purchase?

Anyone know who has the best price for Lowrance at this time? Want to buy the HDS 5 and 10 also with the LSS.

I think those are rebates you can get if you have a older model unit that they can no longer repair. You mail them your old unit and buy a new graph and send them the serial info on new unit and then receive a rebate. Atleast thats what I heard.

The rebate program works this way; if you have a unit that is less than 5 years old, something goes wrong with it and Lowrance can not fix it because of its age, then Lowrance, at their discretion, will give you the rebate on a new unit. This is done on an individual basis after the unit is sent into Lowrance for repair with an RA number, Return Authorization number.

The title of this thread is Lowrance rebate and the initial message said "what is it worth". My response just answered that question assuming that the reason for a rebate in the first place was understood. Sorry for any misconceptions out of context.
