does anyone know how to clear the trip lines off of the lake maps on the chart side of these units? I cant seem to get it, and I messed with it so I probably got all the setings jacked up I dont know. The sonar side seems fine.
Re: Lorance HD7
Are you referring to the trails function. If so you can delte them individually by:
Trails screen menu
From the Trails screen menu you can create a new trail, edit a trail or delete a trail.
To open the Trails screen menu, press the MENU key from the Trails screen. The
following features are listed in the order they appear in the Trails screen menu, top
to bottom:
• Edit: Opens the Edit Trail
menu.
• New: Opens the New Trail
menu.
• Show: Brings up the Chart
page and shows the trail.
• Display: Select or deselect to
display or not display trail on
Chart page.
• Record: Select or deselect to
actively record a trail.
• Delete: Deletes a selected trail.
• Delete All: Select to delete all trails.
• Find: Use to search for trails in the Trails screen.

Re: Lorance HD7
Your trail is what you are seeing on the chart. There are settings in the unit that you can set at home sitting in your boat to start a new trail, delete the existing trail, or to choose that no trail is left behind. To do this turn your unit on and hit menu, go to settings, then go to chart. If you don't want any trail to be displayed you can go down to Trails on that drop down menu and hit enter. This will remove or uncheck the circle next to trails. If you just want to edit your trails go down to Waypoints, routes, trails... and hit enter. Use your right arrow key and go to Trails. Here you can start a new trail or edit an existing trail.
Use your arrow keys to highlight the trail you want to edit and enter. Then use your arrow keys to highlight with a blue box whatever you want to edit about this trail. Here you can change the name of the trail, the color of the trail, whether the trail is displayed on the screen or hidden for later use and whether or not the trail is active meaning being recorded or hidden. If the circle next to Display is blue then the trail will display on the screen, uncheck this box to hide the trail. The same goes for Record, if record is selected then the trail is active or being recorded on your HDS 7 when you are traveling around in you boat with the unit on. Uncheck the Display box and that trail will not show up on your chart screen. You can have one or more trails displayed at one time or none at all depending on your settings that you choose under "Trails".
If you arrow to the box that has the wavy line in it and hit enter, you can change the color of the trail when it is displayed on the screen. Sometimes you may want the trails displayed but want to be able to tell which is which then change the colors of specific trails.
When you are done with your settings be sure to go down and highlight "Save" and then hit enter so the changes stay. If you hit exit before saving the changes then the unit will go back to where you started and nothing is changed.
