I believe Kent's fishing with Mark Blanton from Gone Fishin' Marine. Would love to have been out there if the WRL weren't yesterday. Snagproof's always a blast.

Piss-poor coverage for sure... nothing posted yesterday here or on their site, and nothing yet either for the final.

C'mon - we're in the Twenty-teens now!

Does anyone know what it took to get a check on both sides? We were not able to wait around for awards ceramony. We only weiged one fish each day but heard from several anglers over 100 teams blanked day one ( not confirmed ) and were told not many teams to the scales day 2.

According to the standings that were posted on Sunday, 81 teams weighed fish on the Pro side as there was a list of about 33 teams tied for 82nd. There were only 60 Am teams, most of wich weighed, so the number of fishless teams was only half of what you heard. Sunday could have been different fer sure with that chilly morning and the low tides, the bite definately was tougher for everyone.

Castelano and Youkum did a helluva job and I believe were the only team that weighed over 9 pounds both days. Most teams had one decent day and one so so day, which by Delta froggin standars, was purty tough fishing.

Would be nice to see them take this thing back into the mid month of September, which is when we had those awesome fish catching tournaments back while fishing outa Big Break the first 3 years. I know there's a lot of sentiment to have it up at Clearlake, but I doubt that will ever happens since it was indeed the Delta, that put Snag Proof on the map! Connie is loyal to that fact.

It was a great event, and by far the most challenging I have fished to date. Looking forwards to next year! A huge THANKS goes out to Connie, Vince, Rusoo's and the entire Snag Proof Open staff for a great weekend of competative fishing!

We fished this event as AM's, It was a very tough bite for us. On Saturday we managed 6.45 pounds for three fish. We culled three fish to acheive this weight and 10th place. Our fish were out off the bank due to low tide. We fished all over the East Delta.

Sunday still an even tougher bite for us. Missed several blow ups but managed to boat 2 fish early. The rest of the day tough. We fished East again the Mokelumne River for our fish. High tide fish up tight to tullies and bank. A half hour before weigh in we got our 3rd fish, for another daily total of 6.26 pounds. Total weight 12.71 pounds for 6th place only a few ounces out of 5th place money. This was a great event had lots of fun. Thanks Snag Proof and all staff.

Good Fishin
