FLW Series Roosevelt Entry Fee - $120/Boat

Post by cowboy2 »

I just got off the phone with John Sneed. We discussed an idea John came up with which is very generous and a good idea. John will sponsor a team bass fishing tournament on Roosevelt Lake, at Cholla Ramp on August 21 from safe light until 1 PM. The winning team(s) will be entered into the Roosevelt Lake FLW Series Tournament. One as a Pro, the other as a Co-angler. Here is the way it will work, it costs $2350 to enter a Pro ($2000) and a Co-angler ($350) so if the entry fee is $120 per boat, and 20 boats show up we'll make enough to enter a team. If 40 boats show up we'll enter two teams! If an odd number shows up like 30 boats, John will take out about $300 for the cost of permits and insurance that he will pay up front, and the rest will be paid back in cash to 2nd and 3rd place in the tournament. All standard tournament rules apply (just like All-Star tournaments). Note that John will not make any money on this tournament. Everything except for the permit and insurance costs will go toward entering anglers into the FLW tournament or will be paid back in a cash payout. John and the Tackle Box are a major supporter and contributor to our planning and execution of the tournament, so when you see John, thank him for his support and buy a bait or two....or ten! LOL.

We haven't come up with a fancy name for this tournament, but we're working on a few ideas and I'll let you know next week......

Call John on his cell to register or if you need additional information. His number is 1-928-581-6299

We’ve finally come up with a name for this tournament. Today, for some reason the name just jumped right out at us. Since this will be the FIRST officially chartered bass fishing tournament on Roosevelt Lake under the new rules of the AZGFD, we will name the tournament “The First Annual No Slot (in a long time) Tournamentâ€

this is an awesome Idea and is VERY generous considering it cost money in gas, time and lots of other things than just permits and insurance.
Its kinda like in poker tournys when you cant afford the big game you try to make it there by winning your way in. Awesome idea and i hope not only you guys get a huge turn out BUT a bunch of guys chip in with some extras food ect.
Well im jealous I cant do it because im nor-cal BUT be sure I would be there supporting you if i wasnt GOOD LUCK and people like you guys are what makes this sport so great.
