Jay, you are right...these guys are just big fish in a small pond..nothing to be worried about especially since you have the pedigree coming from Texas. I don't think anyone who fishes this place has ever placed well in a national event like FLW or BASS? Like Paul, said you should be able to do real well, real fast...I am from San Diego and I think it only took me 3 days to get it totally wired..Now it's like stealing candy from a baby...so make sure you enter all events and pay all options so you aren't leaving any money on the table when you win or place high in the standings.... That will be great to see you dominate there...they won't even see it coming. You may have to change your name though because with all the success you've had in Texas tournaments, people may be afraid to enter? By next year, you should be able to jump right into the US Open at lake mead also...bring a warm jacket though, cause a couple people almost got frost bite this year...Good Luck

Jay- I would ask you what brings you to Havasu but I think I
might already know. Easy pickens for sure, hey I love a
little attitude. EASY MONEY EVERY WEEKEND, what more
would a guy what.
Where are you coming from in Texas, I might do a little
research on you and your catch'n ability. Shi% I might just
go to your old stomp'n grounds and get out of your way
since you are going to be the new sheriff in town.
Stop by our tackle shop in town, John make coffee for me
every mornin.
Anyway you sure have convinced me that were all in trouble,
now you just need to convince YOURSELF that you da man.

One other thing you need to know, this is PACKER land
not Cowgirl pastures.

look forward to meet'n you......MG

Fishing havasu is just like fishing toledo bend or lake fork. Actually, it might be closer to Choke Canyon or Rayburn.... maybe Ray Hubbard?

Mr Jackson, I very upset with you and your bride. I was told
you and G took a nice wad of cold hard cash to Alaska to fish
for some old salmon or sumppon. Tell G for that selfish act she's
buying the cold one's. Ultra please!

Might see you next weekend, if I can get the Po Po officer to
go to Mojave.

Later bro, tell G hi.....MG

Damn it! Who tipped you off, the guy that adds "Special Jack" to your morning brew at the morning hang? Guess I'll have to bring some of that cold hard cash in fish form to you. Salmon or Halibut? Fishing was tuff up there this year. Gotta share sparingly. G wants to know Ultra what? And do let us know if you are going to make it to Mohave. G wasn't going to go but if another Havasu drinkin' bud shows up!!!! She's all over that........

we were just talking about that the other day John ! but no I cant handle that traffic on those freeways anymore. Also cant handle driving an hour to fish each day one way. I like driving 7 min to the launch ramp 5 days a week. Then fishin a derby on almost every sat !
Good to hear from you John Hope your doing well !

Well boys and girls I spent my first Saturday and Sunday on this havasu pond. Not much trouble here getting nice limits. Saturday best five went 19.3 and Sunday 21.2...This place fished just like lake fork and the bend back home. If it was not for the stupid boat traffic I think I could have 22-24 lbs both days.. Just using legal tourney baits. Oh by the way the new sheriff is in town.

You can't weigh Carp and Stripers in black bass tournaments out west. And we dont have alligator gar either...so the ones you brought with you will stick out like a sore thumb when we start catching them...
