If i am not mistaken I thought 1st was garanteed 20,000 now its 15,000 not positve if i remeber what was the garanteed 1st place id have to archive some stuff but if im right that means cbc is full of crapola they garanteed not to mess with 1st place winnings .owell another full of crap org. Sorry Tom i like you but hate being told something and then it not followeed through. Just like Elsinore you said if Ten didnt qualify youd have another tourny well 10 didnt you dont say something publicaly and then change it in your favor all the time its not the anglers fault you picke elsinore nor couldnt fill your fields

That sounds great. I am looking forward to next week at Clear Lake.California State Championship Payout

Local Events - Top 10 all advance to Regionals - No money will be awarded.

Regional Events - Top 10 of each Region qualify for State Championship plus they each is guaranteed $1000 at the State Championship and also automatically qualify to start at the regionals for 2011 tournament (skipping the local qualifier).

California State Championship -

1st Place - $20,000 + State Championship Perpetual Trophy and Title of State Champion
2nd Place - $10,000
3rd Place - $5,000
4th Place - $3,000
5th Place - $2,500
6th Place - $2,000
7th Place - $2,000
8th Place - $2,000
9th Place - $2,000
10th Place - $1,500
11th - 40th Place - $1,000

* Based on 16 full 50 boat local events.

Hippie are you kidding me? Ok here is the payout that has been on the webpage all year.

Yes they fell short of the expected numbers this year and in fact you qualified for the regionals in a ten boat tournament correct? Cmon give these guys a break they are doing a good job and I have to say that giving 39th place $1000 to qualify for the championship is pretty good. Southern Cal had one tournament that only ten guys signed up for and all of them qualified without the tournament. Looks like the regions down there are the reason they fell 300 boats short of a full field.

And just because you had a regional at a tough lake you guys want them to have the expense of putting on another tournament so one more guy can qualify? Give me a break.

Does anyone ever make you the "happy hippie"

Good Luck to all the Championship Qualifiers and I am going to catch the first one at Clear Lake for Hippie...........

Hippie, you are mistaken, like any other tournament the payout was based on a full field.

This has been on our website from day one http://www.californiabasschampionship.com/Payout.html

Thanks Tom for a fun season. Looking forward to the Team format as Kyle and I are signed up for DVL in Sept. Wish I could have made the Championship as it looks like a fun time. Good luck to all. Rick G.

He said the 20,000 was garanteed still and the rest of the monies were going to drop 1st was garantted the 20,000 and last was garanteed 1000but the rest of the places were going to change . Its not crying its called living up to what you say . If you dont live up to your word your nothing and i know tom knows exactly what im talking about KB did you fish any of tbhe CBC tournies? Do you fish very many of these tournies on the west coast? but you vmake a great living talking about them

oohps my bad you did qualify KB . but TOM did announce on the internet if ten didnt qualify theyd have another touny. Is it the anglers fault that Tom sat on his butt and waited to long to apply for permits at Big Bear. Thats from a source at MWD BIG BEAR. it takes at least 3 months for the permits to go through there.
Hey I always thought of Tom as a good ole boy and he worked hard on making the tournies the best they could be , but a little more effort on the permits and not giving up on the south after it bombed would be nice.
Nedxt thing dont say something and then change it. That was the whole reason why he kept the touny at Elsinore cause he didnt want to go back on his word, but he stuck his foot in his mouth when ten didnt qualify and the 20,000 for ththe win

Well Hippie tell me how you expect him to pay money back that isn't there, wasn't there and was never there....

I give them credit for adding to the payback and paying the full $1000 down the line to 39th. Sorry that there were only 9 guys catch fish at Elsinore but if you think ANY org in the business would throw another event, travel down south just for one more qualifier spot. and if you guys expect that you are crazier than I already thought you were.

Sorry to have blown your post but I did qualify and I did fish against a full field to do it at Clear Lake and I practiced for the regional and I will be at Clear Lake next week and be happy to fish for $15,000 first place on a $100 investment.

I don't think Tom gave up on the So. Cal events and it is funny how all of you know what the permit process for every lake is but never take the time and call the directors to remind them or help them out.

Sorry Hippie but all paybacks are based on participation and you guys didn't have much.

I'm proud to compete for this championship. Too bad the Southern guys didn't want in on the action. 15k or 20k doesn't matter. I'm liking the format. 118.00 for a chance at the title and some big money. It's a no brainer.

Once again Hippie is the bad man that calls a spade a spade. Did I announce to everyone that if 10 guys didnt qualify we would have no choice but to have another tournament im not the one to announce it I personally didnt want another touny but when you say something you follow through.
numerous times i talked to Tom he said his pay back for 1st was not going to change I asked the same question hw do you pay money when its not there. Owell ill just keep on stating the truth when you look at it as im crazy . when you speak you should follow through thats what makes anglers and people happy not changing to benefit yourself.
Sorry dude the truth is a spade is a spade and yeah 15000 is good for well more than 100 dollar investment add your entry to the lake and each time you prefished and your gas. so you have more invested but the format was cool would like to see option money at each event and.
the #1 thing i like to see is follow through with what you say that was my problem with another org and now im seeing cbc do the same thing.
Tom is a great vguy and very easy to talk too. so lets just keep it real no crying just like upholding your word.
oh and brian that dude is freakn hotttttttttttt

Everyone wants to always talk pay out. Well there was not much support in some areas and there was only 499 out of the 800 that was hoped for. There will be some changes next year for the better. We are commited to make this work and are adding an extra $10,100 to the payback at Clear Lake to help with the payback. Congrats to all that made it and good luck!!

Gary,
I appreciate you guy's doing something that you are definitely not obligated to do. The CBC is a great organization that is ran by a great bunch of guy's; and for a first year org. I think Tom and the rest of the CBC gang did a hell of a job!!! Im just as happy fishing for $20G as I am for $15G, Im not in this for the money. I just love to fish and compete against some of top anglers in our area. Im looking forward to next week, good luck KB.

Well first of all he must of been doing some of his high speed one-finger typing and since he meant to hit the R key and hit the H key, no matter how you look it is three keys away you would have to think that he has above average sized hillbilly fingers..... Or he spilled his ice cream on the keyboard and couldn't see the letters and thought that was where the R used to be.....or he asked Kathy how to spell it and she told him with an H and laughed her butt off when he did......

could be any of several ways he spelled it like that.....
