Bass Boat Insurance???

Post by SKTR 20i »

I am looking to change companies and need some feed back on companies that deal mainly with boats.

I am insured by a very large company (SF) and am unhappy with the coverage.

Six years ago I damaged my cowling and had to replace it, filed a claim and all was fine. Last year I hit an underwater obstruction on the Delta and destroyed my lower unit. I filed a claim and my agent told me "I should pay for it myself because I would probably be cancelled for too many claims". I explained to her that I hadn't filed a claim in 5 years and she told me that (SF) boat insurance is like homeowners insurance not car insurance "more then 2 claims in a 5-6 year period and you will (most likely) be cancelled". I told her that most homeowner claims are for a lot more money then most boat claims. She said it's not the amount of the claim, it's the number of claims in a given period of time.

Thanks, John.

Call Stan Vanderburg at 1-800-bassboat. He started bass boat insurance and insures most of the pros. He is also co-host of Rod and Reel Radio Fridays 11 to noon on AM1050 in San Berardino/Riverside and Sundays at 5 PM on AM 540 in San Diego and los Angeles or on www.rodandreelradio.com. He is very professional and is also a fisherman!

Ken or Stan at 1-800-bass-boat are among, if not the best.

At least give them a call, and see for yoursef.

I've been insured by Stan and Ken for as long as I've owned my boat. Great service, low rates, and beyond that their both my friends. It's true, you really can't go wrong with them... ChrisR
