Fall Striper Run

Looks like the fall run has started early. Entered a report on my Tuesday trip in the Reports Section. My friend and I boated 3 (6, 8, and 15 lbs) and lost 3 in a 3 hour period fishing Montezuma Slough. I caught mine using a 1.5 oz Rat L Trap and he was using a white hair raiser jig.

My friend and another friend had fished the same slough on Sunday and boated 5 keeper size stripers and lost just as many in a 4 hour period. They were using jointed rapalas and white hair raiser jigs.

I was out on the delta on Sunday 8-22 and caught 4 keepers (5-7 pounds) as well as plenty of shakers to make the day fun. The fish are out there.
