OK it's time to replace my current TM which is a 24v minn Kota either a 70 or 74 lb thrust not sure anymore.
I'm still going with a MK but trying to figure out if the 80lb thrust will work if I should make the move to the 101.
I fish the Delta and the Motherlode, I've heard that the 101 will cause more interferance with the electronics and would like to here from those that run the 101 with Lowrance electronics or if you've up graded from the 24v to the 36v

Re: TM question
On the Delta you can never have to much TM!
It's better to have an not need then need and not have!

Re: TM question
it surely depends on what boat your pushing around, but as stated, you can never have enough TM for the Delta. if you have an 18FT or larger anything, then i think you will want the 101.
Of course, going to a 101 means you need 36V, so your going to be adding a 3rd battery. be sure you got room for it before you go down that path.
Also, as you jump up to 36V, you need to check the gauge wires used on your boat; you may need to re-wire it. the 36V system needs a pretty good size wire to work properly, otherwise the cables will overheat as they become a restriction to electricity flow and you will be constantly setting off the circuit protection.
as for interference, the newer 101's with built in transducers seem to be less of a problem.

Re: TM question
Actually the higher voltage does not need as large a wire as the amperage is lower. A 101 36 volt would require about the same wire size as a 70 lb 24 volt. Amperes determine wire size not voltage. If the 101 was 24 volt as well as the 70 it would require about 30% more amps. thus would require larger wire size.
