Had it done to my '04 last year. It was $1200 at the old Galaxie Marine. Not too sure about DIY.

I replaced mine last year. It was pretty straight forward. Just make sure you label all your hoses. I also took about ten pictures with my digital camera at different angles.

Capital City Marine matched an online price I recieved. I don't THINK I paid over $800 for the part.

Here the steps I took to remove my compressor:
- Label Hoses
- Remove belt
- Remove hoses
- Remove nut(s) and bolts
- Remove compressor
- Remove pully and install on new compressor

You will now be ready to install the new compressor.

I have a 06 opti and the compressor just went out 4 weeks ago, a good friend said take it to C & C in modesto they would treat me right. Well he was 100% correct, they did a great job and got me back on the water ASAP!!!!!! I was very pleased from the time i dropped my boat off and when I picked it up. I know for myself i will only go to C & C from now on.
