Skeet turns down his TTBC invitation

Post by GKramer »

Just read on bassfan.com that Skeet Reese will not be fishing the Toyota Texas Bass Classic, although his Elite standing gets him in. Instead, he will be staying home with family. Do you think there might be some backlash for this refusal, is this just "Skeet being Skeet," or does it reflect his feelings about the new championship? :?

He has never fished one of the TTBC in the past. I think it is just Skeet taking his usual fall/winter off to rest and work on his sponsor stuff and spend some time with his girls..... Nothing more than that!

Kudos to Skeet. Family time is more important than fishing another tournament. What else does Skeet need to accomplish? He's a witch!

Skeet is being Skeet all right. He is going to spend it with his girls. I think he is happy enough with the money he earned this year and time with his family is more important. Good for him!!! :D I still think he got robbed of two AOY's in a row

Skeet IS AOY for the past two years and KVD is Angler of the Post Season for the past two years. in my opinion. BASS just has the titles wrong.

I think it's great Skeet is enjoying his family during the off season.
That is what it's all about. With all the traveling the Elite anglers do, kudo's to Skeet for staying at home.

And yes, hands down, Skeet Reese is AOY for the last two years.
