Scouting the Delta

What should be the main targets to plan for when scouting the Delta? I have been fishing the Delta for a few years now and I now have a "Okay" sense of where I am on the water. I am interested in hearing how all of you do your scouting. I do not want to know where just the strategy or basic strategy of the plan.
