Before you spend the money for a repair, check all your connections and make sure each and everyone is clean and tight. Might just save you some $$$$$ Bill K

Buddy,

Like Bill said, check your connections. My fishing buddy, Gerald, was experiencing the same problem with his trolling motor. At times, we had full power and, other times, we crawled. He traced the problem to a bad connection at the connector that plugs into the boat. He replaced the connector and we haven't had any more problems, It only cost him the price of the new connector and about 30 minutes of time.

+1 on this one. I had a lose connetion, then i check the batteries and it was just a dead cell. It ran fine at 100 for about 30 seconds then felt like 20 after that, wait a bit then good again and then died again. Sucks but its better now.
